Johan Visschedijk: "This is the former US Navy S2F-1, BuNo. 133245, that was used by Marsh Aviation of Mesa, Arizona, as a turbine conversion prototype. The original 1,525 hp Wright R-1820 piston engines were replaced by 1,645 shp Garrett TPE331-14 turboprops that were flat rated to 1,250 shp. After the conversion it flew for the first time on November 21, 1986 and entered service in 1989. The aircraft was sold in 1994 to Conair, Canada, were it is stored."
