Grumman G-58 F8F-2P Bearcat

09/30/2011. Remarks by Bill Ewing: "Here's a photo of the pair of Bearcats owned and flown by Bill & Corky Fornof, taken during an airshow in 1971. Later that year Bill Fornof was killed when N7700C was slammed into the ground on final approach when he was caught by wake turbulence. Corky went on to star in one of the James Bond movies. He was the pilot that flew the Bede BD-4J through the hangar, and just making it out the closing doors."

02/28/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was assigned BuNo. 121608 when operated by the USN. It was sold to a civilian owner in 1960, registered N7700C and crashed during an air show at NAS Quonset Point, North Kingston, Rhode Island, on June 5, 1971 killing the pilot."
