Remarks by Jack Mckillop: "The early history of this F-4D-28-MC is unknown but sometime between winter 1984 and October 1989 it was assigned to the 194th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 144th Fighter Interceptor Wing, California Air National Guard and based at Fresno Air Terminal, Fresno, California. In October 1989 this squadron had completed conversion from F-4Ds to General Dynamics F-16As and Bs.

On May 25, 1990, this aircraft was registered N403AV on the civil registry to the USAF when the aircraft was at Mojave, California and by August 1992, it was converted to a drone by Flight Systems Inc. It was transferred to the AMARC on April 4, 1993 and was still there in April 2008."
