Built as a B-24J this Liberator B.Mk.VI was delivered to the RAF as KH401 in 1944, serving with squadrons in Azia. In 1946 it was tranferred to the Indian Air Force as HE771.
In 1973 it was registered in the US as N94459 and flown to Britain where it was restored to represent B-24J USAAF s/n 42-50551 "Delectable Doris". In this form, as shown in the picture, it was returned to the US in 1975.
