Beech 18 UC-45J Navigator

05/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Built as a SNB-2 this aircraft was delivered to the USN with BuNo. 51291, on October 6, 1943. Redesignated UC-45J in 1962 it was struck off charge in June, 1966. Came on the civil registry as N11248 and was later sold to the USAF Museum. It came to McClellan in September, 1988, and was subsequently restored. It was finished in the markings of an USAF C-45 Expediter with the fake s/n 42-51291 (was originally assigned to a B-24J-1-DT Liberator), and was displayed in April, 1992.

The McClellan AFB Museum became McClellan Air Museum, when the base closed in 2001. In November 2005 it was renamed the Aerospace Museum of California."
