"Mid Plane Sales & Transit Co. as seen in this view, was started by Mark Hurd (a rather
famous fellow in aviation circles) sometime before 1920 at Speedway Field.
Speedway Field was expanded over the years as Wold-Chamberlain Field, later
Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport. Mid Plane Sales & Transit
was sold to Universal Air Lines around 1920, a forerunner of Trans World
Airways."
