Mudry CAP 232

11/15/2022. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Designed by Auguste Mudry, this CAP 232 was built by CAP Aviation at Darois, France in 1999, and was registered as F-GUJM. The aircraft was transferred to Sherburn-in-Elmet Airfield, North Yorkshire, UK, on July 10, 2000, still registered F-GUJM. The French registration was cancelled on January 19, 2005, and the next day it was registered in the UK as G-IIVI to Skylane Aviation at Halifax, West Yorkshire.

On March 3, 2008, the aircraft had a mishap at Wickenby Aerodrome, Langworth, Lincolnshire. After making a successful crosswind landing, the aircraft was caught by a gust of wind from behind, causing the tail to lift and the propeller to strike the ground. The propeller was destroyed and wheel spats and paintwork were damaged, the pilot and sole occupant escaped injuries.

G-IIVI was deregistered on November 8, 2012 and was transferred to the aircraft register of Luxembourg as LV-FAU. The aircraft returned to France in 2019, where it was registered F-HKIF on April 3."
