03/15/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was built as an A-26 Attack-bomber. In 1948, when USAAF became USAF, the "A" for Attack was dropped, so the Invader became B-26. Starting in 1951 B-26Cs were loaned to France for the colonial war in Indo-China, the main number were loaned only in 1954. The survivors had been returned to the USAF by late 1955. The one pictured belonged to Groupe de Bombardement GB 1/25 Tunisie."
