Fourteen surplus Vickers 422 Warwick B.Mk.Is (RAF s/ns BV243 to BV256) were converted to C.MK.Is and registered G-AGEX to G-AGFK. First flown in the new version on February 5, 1942, the aircraft were used by BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) to carry mail, freight and passengers between England and North Africa; their useful load was 9,600 lb (4,354 kg). In August 1944 these aircraft were returned to the RAF and their serials restored."
