12/22/2006. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "Initiated early in 1943, the fighter was ordered from the drawing board and construction of two prototypes started June 4, 1944. The first prototype was flown only three times by Captain Tsuruno on August 3, 6, clocking a total time of 45 min.

The photos depict the unflown second prototype in the condition how it was found by US troops, after the war had ended on August 15, 1945."
