12/22/2006. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "Photo shows second prototype with two three-bladed contra-rotating propellers, which flew for the first time on June 26 1944. The first prototype, 43-36598, was equipped with a single four-bladed propeller, and flew for the first time on February 2, 1944. Both aircraft had incomplete serial numbers painted on. The "3' from "1943" was missing, making it look like serials were 43-6598 and 43-6599." |
