11/30/2007. Remarks by Bernhard Klein: "By many considered the ugliest airliner ever flown, this was the first of several "Jabiru" named designs. The six passenger transport flew for the first time in 1924, followed by three others in early 1925. France. One of them flew the inaugural Paris-Zurich service on 16 March 1925. Two were destroyed by the middle of 1925, remaining two were withdrawn from service late 1925. Pilot sat in open cockpit behind middle engine. F-AHAF was converted into an F.121." |
