In 1926 Lioré et Olivier at Levallois-Perret, Paris, France, produced twelve of these aircraft for the French Navy colleges at Hourtin, Landes, and Berre-l'Étang. They were powered by two 180 hp Hispano-Suiza 8Ab eight-cylinder liquid-cooled in-line V-engines.
