02/28/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This I-strutted aerobatic biplane was designed by Ray Melberg and Conrad Greenemeier of Denver, Colorado. The open single-seater had a span of 18 ft 6 in (5.64 m) and powered by an 145 hp Warner Super-Scarab seven-cylinder air-cooled radial engine it had a top speed of 161 mph (259 kmh).
Built in 1938 the aircraft was delivered to the well-known exhibition pilot Tex Rankin, subsequently it was sold to another exhibition pilot, Bob Wilson. Apparently the aircraft was modified and was referred to as the DGA Wilson Special. The aircraft was sold to yet another exhibition pilot, Putnam "Putt" Humphreys of Humphreys Aircraft Corporation at La Crescenta, California. Humphreys had the aircraft modified by Falcon Aircraft Corporation at Inglewood and the aircraft was referred to as the Humphreys MG-2. The aircraft was cancelled from the FAA Register on October 10, 1940."
