No. 6059. Mikoyan and Gurevich Mig-21UM "Mongol-B" ("9332" c/n 516999332) Czech Air Force
06/30/2006. Remarks by
Malcolm Lowe: "During the summer of 2005 the Czech Air Force retired its final MiG-21 single-seat fighter/tactical aircraft and two-seat trainers. The aircraft was flown from its base at Caslav to the Czech Republic's Letecké Muzeum (Aviation Museum) at Kbely airfield, just outside Prague. The aircraft had previously operated with the Czech Air Force's 211.tl at Caslav, which was the final unit to operate the MiG-21. This aircraft was built in 1980 and served all its life with the Czechoslovak, later Czech, Air Force. It is now one of the many fine exhibits at the Aviation Museum, where it is on display in an outside line-up of various MiG types in what is unofficially called 'MiG Alley'."
