Klinke K1

12/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The K1 small single-seat and low-wing homebuilt aircraft was a design of Herbert Klinke and somewhat resembled the well-known Evans VP-1. However, the K1 featured an all-composite material construction and it was first reported around 1995.

The K1 was powered by a 30 hp KFM107ER two-stroke engine, and was initially flown with an open cockpit, later a canopy was added. Only a single example was built, registered D-EGKW, which received a most advanced construction prize from the OUV (Oskar Ursinus Vereinigung, Oskar Ursinus Association)."
