Built as Dominie HG654 for the RAF by Brush Coachworks at Loughborough, near Leicester, UK, in 1943. Transferred to the New Zealand AF as NZ525. After the war it went onto the civil register as ZK-AKY. It has been restored by Croydon Aircraft Works, Mandeville Airfield, shown in the colours of NAC, the New Zealand carrier National Airways Corporation and named "Tui" after a native bird. The aircraft is still on the register. |
