01/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was delivered to JG 3 (Jagdfliegergeschwader, Fighter Squadron) "Wladimir Komarow" of the LSK/NVA (Luftstreitkräfte der Nationale Volksarmee, National Peoples Army Air Force, also known as East German AF) at Preschen AFB in 1988. This unit became Erprobungsgeschwader
MiG-29 (Test Squadron MiG 29) of the German AF in late 1990 after the unification of East and West Germany.
It is pictured in the markings of JG 73 (Fighter Squadron) "Steinhoff", a squadron formed in 1993 by the merger of the Test Squadron with JBG-35 (Jagdbombergeschwader, Fighter-Bomber Squadron). Reportedly the aircraft has been transferred to the Polish AF, s/n 4117."
