Gross JG-2 Panther

01/31/2013. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Gross JG-2 is a homebuilt aircraft designed and built by John Gross of Mount Cotton, Queensland, Australia, and is one of few such aircraft with a jet engine. The advanced tandem two-seat JG-2 is the first jet-powered homebuilt aircraft of Australia and resembles an approximately 75% scale Grumman F9F Panther fighter of the 1950s. Its construction took some 8 years, and the maiden flight was made on April 1, 2006. The JG-2 is powered by a General Electric T58-8F turbine engine which was modified as turbofan."
