02/28/2011. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This Douglas Model DC-3A-467 was ordered by the USAAF as a C-47B-30-DK s/n 44-76770 and delivered on April 21, 1945. On May 7, 1945, it was transferred to the RAAF as a Dakota Mk.III s/n A65-98, radio call sign VHRFO. It served with several units and the radio call sign was changed to VHMJZ on April 13, 1959.

It was registered as VH-JXD to the RAAF Museum at Point Cook, Victoria on July 3, 1989. On June 20, 1990, it was registered VH-OVM by Shortstop Jet Charter of Essendon Airport, Victoria. This company provides corporate business private jet charters utilizing our Learjet 35A or Citation II aircraft, as well as entertainment flights in this DC-3 or the executive jets."
