01/22/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: This aircraft, the eleventh of sixty 404s purchased by Miami, Florida, USA-based Eastern Airlines, was delivered on January 23, 1952 registered N450A. After ten years service on secondary routes, it was sold to Southern Airways, the Atlanta, Georgia-based local service airline, reregistered N419S and used for service in the south central part of the USA.

Southern sold the aircraft in 1976 and it passed through a number of companies and individuals until purchased by the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in April 1991. The aircraft was restored as it appeared while flying with Eastern in 1958 and reregistered N450A. It is currently on display at the museum."
