Sikorsky S-76A

09/30/2012. This aircraft was ordered by British Airways Helicopters Limited and was registered to the airline as G-BIAV on November 27, 1980. After twelve years with the airline the registration was cancelled on September 9, 1992, subsequently it was exported to Canada where on October 21, 1992 it was registered as C-GIMN to Canadian Helicopters Limited, and still is of this day.

The helicopter is operated by the Emergency Health Services (EHS), a division of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, and the EHS LifeFlight is an accredited critical care transport program that operates '24/7' 365 days a year, using helicopters, fixed wing planes or ground ambulances. EHS LifeFlight has completed over 8,000 critical care missions since it was launched in 1996.
