Delivered to the RCAF on November 21, 1939, it served with No. 2 (CAC) Squadron, in Nova Scotia and at RCAF Station Rockcliffe, Ottawa, Ontario, 1939. Operated by No. 111 (CAC) Squadron at Patricia Bay in 1940, coded TM-B.
It was "downsized" from 111 Squadron on February 1, 1941 and coded GV-B it became part of No. 3 Coastal Artillery Cooperation Detachment, also at Patricia Bay. On January 9, 1942, it was transferred to No. 122 (K) Squadron, also at Patricia Bay; it was struck off charge on October 21, 1943.
In the photo the aircraft is armed with depth charges. The CAC Squadrons and Detachments were used for short-range anti-submarine patrols on both coasts, in addition to artillery spotting and target towing."
