05/15/2007. This was the first of four H.P.42E built, making its maiden flight on
November 14, 1930 with A. England and J. Cordes at the controls. It
received its full certificate of airworthiness on June 5, 1931 and
was delivered to Imperial Airways on the same day. While enroute from
Jask, Iran to Sharjah, Sharjah with four crew and four passengers,
the aircraft was lost without a trace over the Gulf of Oman on March
