05/15/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "One of 28 S.23s built for Imperial Airways, it was test flown registered as G-AFBJ and named Carpentaria. However, Imperial Airways did not use it and it was sold to QANTAS of Australia in November 1937, being registered as VH-ABA. It returned to England in July 1942 and was operated till 1947, when it was scrapped."
