05/15/2007. One of 31 S.23s built for Imperial Airways, it was test flown registered as G-AFBJ and named 'Carpentaria'. However, Imperial Airways did not use it and it was sold to QANTAS of Australia in November 1937, being registered as VH-ABA. It returned to England in July 1942 and was operated till 1947, when it was scrapped. |
