05/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Saiun (Painted Cloud) was the fastest Japanese carrier-borne reconnaissance aircraft of WW II. It was also the last confirmed aerial victim of WW II, when one was shot down on August 15, 1945, five minutes before the war ended on 05.45 hr. The pictured aircraft was captured and assigned the ATAIU number "T2-4804"."
