Remarks by Jacques Trempe, derived from Simviation web site: "Started as V.806 G-AOYI for BEA this aircraft was instead built as a series V.805 for Eagle Airways, subtitled "The Bermuda Airline". A later frame took up the BEA marks and this one was completed as G-APDW, delivered December 19, 1957. After being transferred to the Bermuda subsidury "Eagle Airways (Bermuda)" (subtitled "The Bermuda Airline") as VR-BAX and named "Enterprise", it was sold in June 1959 to Martitme Cenral Airways of Canada as CF-MCJ. On April 12, 1962 it joined the other ex Eagle Aircraft with Aer Lingus as EI-AMA, (named ST. Conleth) and was converted to V.808 standard. Withdrawn in January 1971 it was broken up in May 1972." |
