First flown March 25, 1953, delivered to the RCAF as a Comet Mk.IA in June 1953 and converted to Mk.1XB in September 1957. It was withdrawn from service on October 3, 1963 and sold on July 30, 1965, registered after refurbishment as CF-SVR. In 1968 it was flown to Florida and registered N3735 but continuous problems resulted in scrapping the plane. |
