Misko
Ruvidic: "This French WW I fighter was famous for its advance
aerodynamic qualities and manoeverability. The '1st Nieuport fighter
unit' of the Serbian army was equipped with this type in the Thessalonica
theatre in 1916 and Serbian pilots made their first victories in air battles in
it. The exibit is a full-scale replica with original engine, propeller and
machine-gun.The signs on the wings are French from WW I because Serbia had
French technical education and help in the Air Force at that time."
