07/31/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Built in 1987, this VH-BQO came on the Australian register on December 6, 1989. The aircraft is pictured during the Langley Park Fly-In organized by the Sport Aircraft Association of Australia. About 100 aircraft participated, departing from Serpentine Airfield (30 mls, 48 km south of Perth), landing with a one-minute interval at the 1,968 ft (600 m) temporarily runway at the grass of Langley Park at the banks of the Swan River in the City of Perth. Now a city park, Langley Park was the site of Australia's first scheduled air mail service in 1921."
