Commonwealth CA-30

11/30/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Italian Aermacchi MB-326H was built in Australia by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation under its own designation CA-30.

The pictured aircraft was first flown on June 11, 1968 and delivered to the RAAF on July 4. Nearly twenty years of service had past when the aircraft was lost due to an engine failure after take off. Both the instructor, Squadron Leader Frank Atkins and the student, Pilot Officer Andrew Richardson ejected safely."
