Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "In August 2003 Gulfstream Aerospace of Savannah, Georgia, USA, received a contract to supply four G550 business jets to the Israeli AF, plus options on two more which had been exercised by June 13, 2006. Gulfstream G550 Eitam

Since 2005 the Israeli AF operates three Gulfstream GVs modified to electronic intelligence (ELINT) platforms. The Israeli AF refers to the nine Gulfstreams as Nachshon, the CAEW version is referred to as Eitam, the ELINT version is referred to as Shavit, hence the also noted designations Nachshon Eitam and Nachshon Shavit. The 122 Squadron that operates the Gulfstreams from Nevatim AB is known as the Nachshon squadron."
