AIR TRANSPORT IN TEST FLIGHT

GLENDALE, California, USA: Proclaimed by its designer, Wally Timm, as having more safety features than any airplane built and extremely radical in design, the Timm transport was successfully test-hopped yesterday. The new transport is the first to utlize the tricycle landing gear. It is powered with two 425 hp Wright engines and is a highwing, semi-cantiliver monoplane with a top speed of 207 mph (333 kmh) and a cruising range of 800 mls (1,287 km). The nose landing wheel is steerable, being hydraulically controlled, while all three wheels are equipped with hydraulic brakes.
