About the old photographs taken at Cameri: you can see a few of the many photographs taken in the 1920s and 1930s by the late Mr. Claudio Piantanida, who, for a long period of time, worked in the Gabardini (then CANSA) factory, at Cameri. These photographs have an high historical interest because for some aircraft, like the Gabardini G.50, they are the only documents which have survived to this day.

In 1989, when I was in military service at Cameri, Mr. Franco Martini (NCO of Italian Air Force, now retired) gave me the opportunity to examine not only some photographs, but also original negatives (some negatives were still impressed on a glass sheet). I focused my attention on the most interesting subjects: the results are the photographs displayed here.
If you read carefully the captions of the photographs you can reconstruct an outline of a great part of the history of Gabardini airfield and aircraft.
