05/31/2008. Developed by the team led by Shigenobu Mori in 1933, this was the last JNAF biplane carrier fighter. Powered by a 730 hp Nakajima Hikari I nine-cylinder radial, the prototype flew for the first time on the autumn of 1934. It was accepted by the JNAF in January 1936, and production continued until 1940, a total of 221 had been built. |
