01/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "Canadian Douglas Weaver modified this one-of-a-kind two-seat sports airplane from a standard PA-11. Modifications included a lowered rear fuselage decking, fitting of a rear window which resulted in all-round view, and clipped wings. The original Continental engine was replaced by an 115 hp Lycoming O-235-C1 engine with a Piper PA-20 style cowling.
Designated Weaver Skycoupe Cub by its builder, and registered CF-RGP, the modified aircraft was first flown in 1961; it was later re-engined with a more powerful 135 hp Lycoming O-290-D engine. The aircraft is still flown, presently registered to Thomas W. Homersham of Palgrave, Ontario."
