09/30/2014. Remarks by
Walter van Tilborg: "The Lowlander B was an original design tandem two-seat homebuilt aircraft with a limited STOL performance. The aircraft was developed and built by Forbes H. Simpson and after a construction period of over twelve years the aircraft made the first flight in January 1985, powered by an 85 hp Continental C85-12 engine. All fuel was carried in the wing tip tanks and the one-of-a-kind design had all-wood wings and tail group, a steel tube fuselage with Ceconite cover on fuselage and tail surfaces. The wings were plywood covered."
