06/03/2003. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "One of four aircaft built to test the planform and low speed characteristics of the projected Avro 698 Vulcan bomber. The 707B flew on September 6, 1950 and resumed the flight-test program abruptly ended by the crash of the Avro 707 early after its first flight that took place on September 4, 1949. Later followed the 707A and 707C."
