04/30/2008. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "Aeronáutica Industrial S.A (AISA) started work on the Model GN gyrocopter in the early-1970s and the type was mainly aimed at commercial operators. Development was rather slow and a prototype was not completed until late-1981 and it made the first flight on July 20, 1982. After it had been damaged during trials at Cuatro Vientos in September 1982, it was rebuilt, but all further development was halted in 1983 before the test program was complete. The GN had one 300 hp Lycoming IO-540-K1A5 engine and carried an official military serial."
