04/30/2008. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Model 7002 was Fiat SpA's first and only helicopter design and development was supported by the Italian Defense Ministry. In the design Fiat tried to combine compact dimensions with maximum space (the 7002 was a seven-seater) and the aircraft was powered by a Fiat 4700 gas turbine developing some 530 hp.

The Model 7002 made use of the so called cold jet principle in which compressed air was routed through hollow rotor blades which had exhausts nozzles at the tips. The sole 7002 first flew on January 26, 1961 and at a later stage received a small horizontal tail plane with end plates. Further development was terminated during 1963."
