Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The all-metal WS-202 Spring was designed by William "Bill" Spring and it had detachable outer wing panels for easy road transport and to save space in the hangar. A built-in feature was that it could easily be converted from tricycle gear to a tail wheel configuration. Engine was a 65 hp Subaru EA-81 (modified) car engine and the aircraft first flew in 1996."
