Jones 8 V-Bug

07/31/2009. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "This is one of several homebuilt aircraft constructed by Mr. Hobert Jones.

Originally built as the Jones 7 Humbug, using the Mignet tandem wing principle, it was developed from plans provided by Falconar of Canada, but incorporated many changes. It was registered as N7077K (c/n 93-7) on July 21, 1993 and powered by a 65 hp VW1835 engine, it was only briefly active, as it was deregistered on March 1, 1994.

The aircraft was dismantled, and using the front wing, tail, engine, a major part of the fuselage, and many components, the aircraft was rebuilt as the pictured Jones 8 V-Bug. Registered again as N7077K the aircraft gained its CofA on May 31, 1994.
