12/31/2009. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The single-seat Model 3 homebuilt sport aircraft was designed and constructed over a 2 year period by Hobert Jones of Gassville, Arizona. Powered by a 50 hp VW1600 piston engine, the one-off aircraft was flown, but was lost in an accident on the second flight. All further work on the aircraft was then halted.

Jones was responsible for quite a number of some homebuilt aircraft of which the Models 3, 4, 5, 6 ,7 and 8 were actually built."
