04/15/2018. Remarks by
Walter van Tilborg: "Designed by Jean Chapeau of Argenton-sur-Creuse, France, the Aéro 30 was more or less a refined single-seat derivative of the two-seat Indraéro Aéro 101 of 1951. The Aéro 30 was of wooden construction covered with fabric and was powered by a 45 hp Salmson 9ADb radial engine. Registered to Chapeau as F-WPPA it took to the air for the first time on January 20, 1968, being reregistered nine months later as F-PPPA after it had received its
CofA on October 16, 1968.
On November 24, 1971 it was registered to the Aéro-Club de Châteauroux and subsequently re-engined with a 65 hp Continental A65 resulting in re-contoured nose lines. In September 1986 the registration expired, hence the aircraft was deregistered.
Some 23 years later, December 19, 2009, the aircraft was registered to Robert Burdillat of Paray-le-Monial, presently the aircraft is under a long-term restoration."
