10/31/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was built in Germany with assistance from an educational institute in Aachen, to improve the aircraft and have it comply with JAR-23 regulations. Before construction was finished the aircraft was acquired by Wilhelm Maul who also made the first and subsequent test flights. The alterations (known as the Europe-kit) also improved the performance and reduced the noise level considerably.
The first flight was made in 1994, but was damaged on July 30, 1995 and subsequently deregistered. After rebuilt it was reregistered as D-EAVI and is still flown by Wilhelm Maul. The four-seat aircraft is controlled by a small stick in between the two front seats. It is powered by an 180 hp Lycoming IO-360 B1B engine driving a three-blade constant-speed pusher propeller. It is also fitted with a speed brake and a fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel."
