10/31/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This Piper was built under the USAF s/n 52-6222 and delivered to the French Army as 182540. In June 1969 it was registered in Germany as D-ELKG. On March 9, 2004 it was registered in the Netherlands as PH-ENJ, in 2005 it was painted in the markings of the RNethAF "R-170".

The original "R-170" (PH-WAS, c/n 18-3860, ex USAF 54-2460) was written off after a hangar fire on May 5, 1982."
