Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2T Turbine Islander

09/30/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The MoD ordered this aircraft in early 1984, rolled out on May 22, and flown the following month, it was fitted with a large 'flattened disc' radome in the nose containing the advanced multi-mode all-weather radar sytem developed by Ferranti Defence Systems in connection with the CASTOR (Corps Airborne Stand-Off Radar) project for longe-range battlefield radar survaillance.

By 1987 the project name had changed to ASTOR (Airborne Stand-Off Radar). On December 10, 1991 the aircraft was deregistered and given the military serial ZG989, and the aircraft is still active as of this day."
