10/31/2007. Designed to a specification of the Directeur Technique
Industriel, the Br 891R was first flown on November 15, 1949. It flew
in competition to the Nord 2500 Noratlas, the latter winning a
contract for 225 aircraft; the Br 891R was subsequently abandoned.
