12/31/2007. In 1956 the USAF loaned this B-47B, s/n 51-2059, to the
RCAF as a test vehicle for the new 20,000 lb (9,072 kg) s.t. Orenda
Iroquois (initial designated PS-13) two-spool axial-flow turbojet,
fitted with an afterburner. The aircraft was converted by Canadair
under the company designation CL-52. The aircraft was flown in RCAF
markings but retained the last three digits of its USAF serial, which
followed the prefix 'X' to become the RCAF serial. In 1959 the
aircraft was returned to the USA and subsequently scrapped.
