Photographed at Flugplatz Laage, Güstrow, Schwerin, Germany, September 27, 1990, by Gerald Zietsch
01/31/2008. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was delivered to the LSK/NVA (Luftstreitkräfte der Nationale Volksarmee, National Peoples Army Air Force) in February 1985 and flew with JBG-77 (Jagdbombergeschwader, Fighter-Bomber Squadron) "Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher" based at Laage. It is seen in a special fare-well colour scheme. It was transferred to the German Air Force, s/n 25+07 and is presently preserved at Ankum, Niedersachsen."
Photographer
Gerald Zietsch stated: "The special color was directly coupled to the event of the last flying day of the LSK/NVA on September 30, 1990. The two squadrons based at Laage, JBG-77 and MFG-28, each were "allowed" to decorate a two-seater Su-22. There was actually no flying allowed, the aircraft just lit the burners and rolled on the runway, one of the machines had a brake failure and ran into the grass, to my dismay I had exhausted all the slides by that time."
